Qareebi

Syed Ali is a musician and music electronics researcher based in Bangalore, India, working under the moniker Qareebi (ka-ree-bee). His practice explores ambient, noise, and experimental bass music through long-form, immersive performances shaped by space and context. Drawing on self-built modular systems, acoustic sound sources, and live electronics, his work foregrounds timbre, texture, and physical interaction with sound rather than fixed compositions.
