Julie Marghilano

Based in Berlin and serving as the visionary behind Sol Asylum Records, her schedule has recently been punctuated by standout sets at Berghain’s Panorama Bar. Her Rawax release last year marked a pivotal moment in her career, establishing her presence in the city’s most influential club environments. This summer also marks a special return to her roots: honoring her label’s past seven-year residency, Julie is bringing two special events to Club der Visionäre, including Sol Asylum’s 15th-anniversary celebration and an exclusive collaboration. Whether she is laying down one of her signature vinyl-focused DJ sets or performing fully live with hardware, Julie has brought her sound to respected dancefloors like Freerotation and Honcho Campout. Driven by an absolute obsession with the healing power of bass frequencies—both on and off the dancefloor—Julie is currently developing a downtempo vibroacoustic performance using live violin, loop machines, and hardware. The catalyst for this new direction was her track on the Advanced Public Listening compilation, created during the pandemic and released alongside Matthew Herbert and Ricardo Villalobos.
