Curtain Blue

Curtain Blue is the solo project of New Delhi based producer, composer and singer Abhishek Bhatia, an artist creating a cinematic Indo Western sound that blends Indian folk textures with electronic production, live instrumentation and immersive visual storytelling. Originally emerging from India’s independent music scene as the frontman of alternative act The Circus, Bhatia has spent years performing across India, the UK and Southeast Asia, gradually shaping Curtain Blue into a genre fluid world that sits between electronica, indie pop and cinematic sound design. Over the years, he has appeared at festivals and stages including Magnetic Fields Festival, NH7 Weekender, The Great Escape Festival (UK), Southbank Centre (London), Coke Studio and multiple large format live and culture platforms across India and abroad. Under Curtain Blue, his music combines harmonium, sarangi, dholak, brass sections, analog synths and electronic textures into a sound that feels deeply rooted in India while remaining globally contemporary. His upcoming debut album Kesar is a coming of age project exploring identity, intimacy and emotional transition through cinematic production and layered live instrumentation. The project has recently gained strong organic momentum online through a series of stripped back living room performance snippets introducing the sonic world of Kesar.
